Dr Aman Arora is a GP known for his passion for medical education. He is an accredited medical educator and has had years of experience teaching doctors and understanding postgraduate medical exams before founding Arora Medical Education. He is a previous GMC PLAB 2 examiner and is the CEO of the award winning Arora Medical Education platform. Dr Aman is proud to be a Fellow of Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP) and has now helped thousands of doctors progress in their UK medical journey all the way to CCT. Dr. Pooja Arora

Dr Pooja Arora is a GP and was voted in the top 50 GPs of Pulse Power 50 in 2017. She has held various leadership roles nationally with the British Medical Association and has been a GP ambassador for Health Education England. Dr Pooja is currently completing her PG Certificate in Medical Education and is proud to be a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP). Previous roles include:

Dr. Nehal Chauhan

MBChB MRCGP PGDip(Derm)

Dr Nehal Chauhan is a portfolio GP based in the West Midlands. She qualified from The University of Birmingham in 2012; she has a strong interest in dermatology and subsequently attained the Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University with distinction in 2016.

After attaining MRCGP in 2019 she has since pursued her interest in medical education and is a GP clinical educator for us at Arora Medical Education. Dr Nehal is lead for our Mock Exam centre, is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors and also runs UKMLA PLAB 2 mock sessions. She also runs some of our UKMLA PLAB 1 teaching.

Outside of work she enjoys yoga, watching West End theatre shows and travelling with her husband and two daughters.

Jade

Dr. Jade Holway

BSc (Hons) MBChB MRCGP

Dr Jade Holway is a GP based in the West Midlands, as well as being a GP clinical educator for us at Arora Medical Education. She went to medical school in Birmingham, having done an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Southampton. She is currently undertaking her Postgraduate certificate in Medical Education at the University or Warwick.

Dr Jade is our lead for MSRA teaching, is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors and also runs UKMLA PLAB 2, AKT and MSRA mock and one-to-one sessions. She also runs some of our UKMLA PLAB 1 teaching. She is also lead for AKT admin teaching.

She lives with her husband, baby daughter and dog in Sutton Coldfield. They are currently converting a van into a campervan and regularly enjoy travel adventures.

Dr. Lucas James

MBChB MRCGP BSc. Hons

Dr Lucas James is an NHS GP with a special interest in Medical Education.

He studied Medicine at the University of Birmingham and completed an Undergraduate Degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Surrey.

He completed MRCGP (passing AKT and RCA exams) in 2021.

He lives with his wife and son in Sutton Coldfield and loves to cook for friends on the BBQ or pizza oven.

Dr Lucas is our lead for AKT teaching, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2 mocks, SCA mocks and AKT one-to-one sessions.

Yasoda

Dr. Yasoda Dupaguntla

BMBS Bsc(Hons) MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Yasoda Dupaguntla is an NHS GP with a special interest in Medical Education and Women’s Health.

She studied Medicine at the University of Southampton and completed Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology at King’s College London.

She completed MRCGP (passing AKT and RCA exams) in 2022.

Dr Yasoda is a previous GMC PLAB 2 Examiner.

Her interests include dancing (she is a professional Bharatanaytam Indian classical dancer, Bhangra dancer and danced at the 2012 Olympic Games!), violin player and enjoys badminton.

She is our lead for MRCGP SCA teaching, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2 and SCA mock sessions.

Mahmood

Dr. Nasif Mahmood

MBBS Bsc(Hons) AICSM PGCAPP FHEA MRCGP

Dr. Nasif Mahmood is an NHS GP with a keen interest in medical education and technology-enhanced learning.

He qualified with MBBS in Medicine from Imperial College London and BSc in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University. He completed his MRCGP training (AKT and RCA) in 2023 and lives in Sutton Coldfield. He has been regularly involved in teaching and mentoring in undergraduate and postgraduate medicine and took a career break during GP training during which he enjoyed two years as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Leicester medical school. He holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

At Arora Medical Education, Dr Nasif is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2/SCA mocks and one-to-one sessions for various other exams.

He enjoys life through quality time well spent with his children, playing football, creative design and virtual reality gaming.

Ashley Jackman

Dr Ashley Jackman

BMBS MRCGP

Dr Ashley Jackman is a portfolio GP working in the West Midlands and Warwickshire. He studied at Peninsula Medical School in the South West of England and attained MRCGP in 2021 - completing GP training in Birmingham.

He has a keen interest in medical education and as well as being a clinical tutor at Arora Medical Education, he also works as a clinical facilitator at Warwick Medical School.

Dr Ashley is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2/SCA mocks and one-to-one sessions for various other exams.

He lives with his family in Birmingham. In his free time he loves spending time outdoors with his family; cycling, hiking and travelling. He has an interest in music and enjoys playing various instruments too.

Harsha Dhokia

Dr Harsha Dhokia

MBBS MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Harsha Dhokia is an NHS GP in the Midlands with an interest in Women’s Health, Medical Research and Medical Education.

She studied medicine at St George’s University of London and completed her MRCGP (AKT and RCA) in 2021.

Dr Dhokia recently achieved her Letters of Competence from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH) in Subdermal Contraceptive Implant Techniques and Removal (LoC SDI).

Dr Harsha is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2/SCA mocks and one-to-one sessions for various other exams.

She is an enthusiastic cook, often experimenting with different recipes and has appeared on the BBC’s Ready Steady Cook. She also enjoys working on various DIY projects in her new home with her cat Betti.

Priyanka Shah

Dr Priyanka Shah

Dr Priyanka Shah is a GP based in Birmingham with an interest in cancer care and women’s health.

She studied medicine at Leicester university and completed GP training in 2021 (AKT and CSA).

She is currently completing the leadership fellowship programme and is Cancer Care Lead for her PCN.

Dr Priyanka is one of our UKMLA PLAB 2 Academy+ tutors, as well as running UKMLA PLAB 2/SCA mocks and one-to-one sessions for various other exams.

She lives in Birmingham with her husband, two children and dog and enjoys going on adventures with the family. Her interests include Bollywood dancing and playing the piano.
