Awesound Awesound We use Awesound to sell our podcasts and audiobooks. Our audio distribution partner, Awesound, Inc. (“Awesound”) [Awesound.com] collects the following data: · Your name and email as submitted when purchasing content via Awesound. Note: Your name and email, as submitted when making the purchase, are always shared with AME. Purpose: Order fulfilment and fraud prevention. · Limited information about your payment method: specifically, the country of your payment card and the last four digits of payment card. Purpose: Country is used for country-level tax reporting. Last four digits of your payment card are displayed on awesound.com/payments to help customers remember which card was used, and to aid with customer support. · Information about your device, such as operating system and application being used. Purpose: Customisation of content and user experience optimisation. · Access logs, including IP address. Purpose: Piracy prevention and fraud prevention. · A hashed version of your Awesound password. Note: Your hashed password is essentially a “scrambled up” version of your password. If you enter the correct password when logging in, the hashed version will match the correct “scrambled up” version Awesound has on file, so you can successfully log in. However, Awesound never stores your actual password in plaintext. Purpose: This allows listeners to log in and listen to AME audio purchases on awesound.com/listen. · Emails sent to any address @awesound.com. Purpose: Customer support and training. · In addition, Awesound uses cookies for essential site functionality, authentication and piracy prevention. Awesound is fully GDPR-compliant and keeps your data confidential. Awesound uses Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) [Stripe.com] to process all credit card transactions. Stripe is fully PCI compliant. When you purchase one of our audiobooks, your credit card info is sent directly from your web browser to Stripe. Neither AME, nor our partners such as Awesound, ever see your full credit card information. Stripe charges your card on Awesound’s behalf. Awesound never sees or stores your full credit card information; this is entirely handled by Stripe: That is, Awesound can only see your name, email, limited info about your payment card, and the fact that you have (or have not) successfully paid. (Your 16-digit card number is only seen by Stripe.) https://awesound.com/terms
