A 5 year old boy presents to his GP with a 2 day history of a red swollen eyelid. His mum says that he has had an upper respiratory tract infection for the last week. On examination there is swelling, redness and warmth to the eyelid and the skin around the eye with eye lid oedema. There is no proptosis or ophthalmoplegia.
