An 8 year old boy presents with his mum with a 2 week history of a limp. He has been complaining of pain from the groin down to the knee on the left hand side. He is otherwise well and his observations are normal. He is not overweight. On examination, he has a loss of internal rotation and abduction and an antalgic gait.
