A 25 year old lady has been referred to cardiology after undergoing a physical examination required for her work. Some abnormal signs were found on her cardiac examination including a forceful apex beat and a late ejection systolic murmur which is loudest when performing the Valsalva manoeuvre. Her family history includes sudden death in her father soon after she was born.
