Jasmine is 35 years old and is 36 weeks pregnant with her first child. She has been admitted to the antenatal ward after being diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia and is currently taking Labetalol. She gives a 1 hour history of upper abdominal pain and nausea. She has no vaginal bleeding and foetal movements are normal. Blood tests show thrombocytopenia, anaemia and deranged LFTs.
