A 6 year old girl presents with profuse diarrhoea and fever. On examination, she is clinically dehydrated and 20kg in weight. Her stool microscopy, sensitivity and culture has identified Salmonella enterica which is sensitive to Amoxicillin. The microbiologist has recommended a dose of 30mg/kg, three times a day. The hospital pharmacist advises that Amoxicillin solution is currently available as 250mg/5mL.
How many mL should she be prescribed?
