You review a 64 year old man who presented to the GP following a private health check clinic and investigations. He was advised to see you as his blood pressure then was 182/99 mmHg. He has no significant past medical history. He reports no symptoms and examination, including fundoscopy, is normal.
He had a urine dipstick and urine albumin:creatinine ratio in the clinic which were both normal. His blood tests for HbA1c, urea and electrolytes, and glomerular filtration rate returned normal also. He also has an unremarkable 12-lead ECG.
