Julie is a 40 year old lady who is known to have Rosacea and has returned for review in the dermatology outpatient clinic. The Metronidazole 0.75% gel she was prescribed 3 months ago has been helpful with her ‘spots’ on her cheeks, but she finds the redness on her cheeks embarrassing and feels it is now persistent. She has minimal ocular involvement and finds flushing manageable by avoiding triggers. She has no known drug allergies.
