Elle is a 4 year old girl who attends A&E with her father who is concerned after attending her GP practice 4 days ago. He informs you that Elle complained of a sore mouth, reduced appetite and he noticed a few red marks on the roof of her mouth. He also reported a slight fever but this has been controlled with Paracetamol. He is concerned as no treatment was offered by the GP despite a diagnosis of Hand, foot and mouth disease being made. He is insisting on antibiotics or some form of treatment for Elle as there has been no improvement.
