Matthew is 40 years old and presents with a 2 week history of a lump on his right ear. It is tender to touch to the extent he has to avoid sleeping on the right side as it is too painful. It has not grown and there is no history of bleeding. On examination there is a firm, oval shaped 5mm nodule on the right ear helix with central crust.
