Maya is a 5 year old girl who is brought in by her mother. Her mother is worried about a widespread rash. The rash started 2 days ago on her trunk and is now on her arms also. Earlier in the week Maya also complained of a bad sore throat and runny nose. Her mum said she has been feeling hot to touch at times but has not taken any formal temperatures.

On examination, Maya looks well but has a temperature of 38.3 and has a widespread pinpoint maculopapular rash with a coarse texture and an erythematous throat. She is allergic to Penicillin.

Given the most likely diagnosis what is the most appropriate next step?
