Kara is 25 years old and is 12 weeks pregnant. She presented yesterday with right sided flank pain, fever and nausea, and urine dipstick was positive. Observations were stable except for a temperature of 38.1 and abdominal examination found right renal angle tenderness. You suspected Pyelonephritis and admitted her to hospital given that she is pregnant and she was discharged with a ten day course of antibiotics. She has no known allergies.
