You saw Mr Clarke, a 76 year old gentleman, three weeks ago for a medication review and completed an Osteoporosis risk assessment. QFracture score was intermediate and a Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scan was arranged with the result confirming Osteoporosis. Looking at Mr Clarke’s medical records you can see he suffers with hip Osteoarthritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) stage 4, and anxiety. His drug history includes Sertraline, Co-codamol and Buscopan.
Given the scan result what is the most appropriate next step in his management?
