AKT2-062

Mr Krakov is a newly registered patient who was seen by your colleague for review of his medical and drug history. He has a complex past medical history including: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), renal transplant, Pulmonary fibrosis and Psoriasis. Your colleague completed the new patient proforma and requested bloods including HIV and Hepatitis B. You get a call from the laboratory to say that the Hepatitis serology is positive. You immediately arrange an appointment with the patient to discuss the results. Mr Krakov is very surprised by the results and keen to get treatment started as soon as possible. You explain that he will be referred urgently to the local Infectious Diseases team who will review his results and develop a treatment plan.
