Mrs Barker who is 77 years old has come to see you today about her eyes which have become increasingly troublesome. You note from her medical records she has been seen a few times over the last few months with dry, itchy eyes and intermittent swelling of her eyelids. Mrs Barker has come in as she feels her symptoms are worsening despite regular eyelid hygiene, she has also stopped wearing make-up and contact lenses. She denies any skin complaints. Her vision is normal. Examination is notable for red inflamed eyelids with crusted margins, eye movements are normal and there is no conjunctival injection. There is no evidence of Rosacea.
