Mrs Pratt is a 48 year old events manager who is concerned that for around four months her face has become intermittently blotchy and red. In the last few weeks, the redness appears to be present most of the time and she thinks her nose might have changed shape also. Mrs Pratt has not changed her washing powder, make-up or face cream. She has no other systemic symptoms and has not had any significant sun exposure. Examination reveals marked erythema of the forehead, nose and cheeks but no telangiectasia, as well as dome shaped papules on the chin. There are no pustules or plaques.
