AKT1-140

Cara is a 7 year old girl who presents with her father after suffering a sore throat and being unwell for the past two days. On examination, there is a temperature of 38.2 Celsius along with her throat being red and both tonsils are inflamed. There is no exudate seen on the tonsils. She has swollen but non-tender left submandibular lymph nodes. The ears are normal on examination. You observe a blanching erythematous rash on her trunk which feels rough and has not been observed until now by Cara’s father. She has no known allergies.
