Nicola presents to her GP with her 3 month old baby boy Tom, concerned as he has been vomiting up his feeds over the last month. Tom is exclusively breastfed and was born at term with normal vaginal delivery. Nicola says he vomits around 4 times a day and brings up a ‘large amount’ of milk around 2-3 hours after a feed. He is maintaining his weight along the 25th centile. His stool is loose with no blood and he has frequent Eczema flares despite regular emollient use. He is often unsettled when laid down flat and will cry and arch his back.
Given the likely diagnosis, what is the most appropriate course of action?
