Troy is a 17 year old boy who is currently preparing to sit his upcoming examinations. He requested an appointment as he woke up this morning with a red eye. Yesterday he was at a water park where he enjoyed participating in lots of water sports. He has not noticed any visual disturbances, pain in that eye or headaches. He is normally fit and well and does not smoke or drink alcohol. On examination of Troy’s right eye there is a flat bright red haemorrhage covering the conjunctiva. Blood pressure today is 122/68, Visual acuity is 6/6, eye movements are normal and there is no peri-orbital swelling.
