Mayur has been a practising GP in Leicestershire since 1991.

He has combined an active career as a working GP with high profile leadership roles in the Royal College of General Practitioners, National Health Service (NHS) and in the wider health community.

As the youngest doctor to be appointed Chairman of Council of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) – the largest medical royal college in the UK and academy of family medicine in Europe – Professor Lakhani instituted and led the development of the document, The future direction of general practice, a roadmap which was published in 2007.

This document was the first set out the concept of primary care at scale, the forerunner of primary care networks

Mayur was elected President in 2017.

He was also awarded a senior founding fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management in October 2017 (by assessment of portfolio).

Appointed CBE in the 2007 Queen’s Birthday Honours list “for playing a fundamental role in raising the profile of general practice,” Professor Lakhani has been included in the Top 50 most influential people in the UK health service by Health Service Journal.

Mayur continues to practise as a GP in a portfolio career.

Dr Ishani Patel is a GP, eHub clinical lead and co-founder of Lantum, a workforce engagement tech platform.

She has led the development of a GP federation virtual practice and is now working on one of NHS England’s digital accelerators in NW London.

She is also a mentor for the RCGP to encourage innovation and technology adoption readiness for primary care at scale and integrated care.

Sabena is currently Associate Dean for GP Education (Birmingham & Solihull) and Foundation training in GP across the West Midlands working for Health Education England.

She is also a PhD Student at Birmingham University looking at enacted practical wisdom in GPs (exp 2020) .

Sabena has been a salaried GP for 17 year and she also undertakes regular GP out of hours sessions and extended hours sessions. She is married with three children.

Dr Hussain ‘DrGandalf’ Gandhi is a GP partner and trainer in Nottingham – and a digital GP, as well as National representative to the RCGP council among other roles.

As owner of eGPlearning – a platform to support saving yours and your patient’s time with technology-enhanced primary care and learning, he shares his knowledge of primary care, video consultations, social media use as a clinician and using tech to enhance your CPD collection.

I am a partner at Lordswood medical practice in Birmingham, and have been since 2007.

I worked for Brimingham CrossCity CCG as a Clinical lead from 2010, within contracting and quality for the UHB contract.

During this time I was integral in the formation and set of Our Health Partnership, the largest GP Partnership in the UK, and served on its board until 2017.

I am currently the Clinical Director for Integration, Covering Urgent care, Community care, Primary care and Long Term conditions at BSol CCG. I also sit on the West Midlands Clinical Senate Council

Dr Oliver Denton is a Private GP at Daleswood Health. Having started at Imperial College in 1995 he moved to the South West becoming a GP in 2008. He worked as a Sessional GP in Solihull, becoming a Partner in 2010. In 2017 he and his wife Alison set up Daleswood Health with the vision of developing a traditional Practice. Daleswood Health provides a wide range of services to complement General Practice and is involved with Solihull Radio, Solihull Chamber of Commerce, occupational health and a local rehabilitation service.

Lafina is a GP registrar, co-founder of Eurekadoc, property investor and author of #1 Amazon Bestseller ‘Property Investing for Doctors’.

Passionate about coaching doctors to become financially independent through property (even with limited time, funds or experience), she runs the only UK course specialising in property training for doctors, has delivered education and training to >1000 doctors to date and is an advocate for portfolio careers in medicine.
